America’s Got Talent Live has announced the official nationwide tour schedule and line-up of performers from the just concluded Season 8. The tour’s kick-off date is September 29, 2013 in York, Pennsylvania.   Headlining the tour will of course be Season 8 winner, Kenichi Ebina whose dazzling and often mind boggling displays of precision dance and interactive performances kept millions of viewers enthralled this season.

Says Kenichi “I still can’t believe I won America’s Got Talent”. Being a part of Season 8 at Radio City Music Hall was so much fun, and I can’t wait to take my act on the road and perform live for the fans who voted for me from their homes across America.”

Kenichi appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this past Thursday and performed a version of  his routine from the final.  When Jimmy asked the question “What are you going to do with the million dollars?”  Kenichi, who appeared much more at ease than I ever saw him on America’s Got Talent,  responded “I don’t know, I have to ask  my wife, she’s the boss.”  Check it out on YouTube.

Also participating in the national tour are: Taylor Williamson – The young stand-up comedian who worked so hard to win judge Heidi Klum’s approval and was voted into the runner-up spot in the final. His humor generally centered on his disastrous dating history and awkward high school years and disgust with #2 pencils,  with the occasional foray into jokes not suitable for family viewing as Heidi constantly remarked on.

Collins Key – the 17 year old magician whose modern versions of standard magic tricks won him the support and admiration of the judges and voters alike.  Judge Howard Stern supported him early on in the season and believes he’ has a big future in the magic business.

Jimmy Rose – A singer, songwriter and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, who charmed the country fans with his smooth vocals. His story touched everyone’s heart and he related it to the audience through his original song “Coal Keeps The Lights On”.

Cami Bradley – A singer, songwriter and pianist who entertained us with her unique take on classic songs. Perhaps Cami will treat tour goers with some original compositions.

KriStef Brothers – The balancing/comedy duo who not only amazed us with their athletic ability, but also made us laugh out loud with their easy humor, charm and outrageous gender bending wardrobe.

And last but certainly not least Tone the Chiefrocca – Mel B’s wildcard pick.  The wannabe one hit wonder who had the whole of Radio City Music Hall dancing to his original song B Double O T Y! I wonder if he intends to perform just the one song throughout the tour?

According to the Neilson Ratings system America’s Got Talent ranked #1 with adu1ts 18-49 for the 8th straight year.  I think this year was the best in a long while as far as the caliber of talent we saw.
